December 5-11, 2005

Hey everyone

Hope you are all well this week. I have added some people to the mailing list!! hehe
Some long lost friend, hope to hear from you!
Well this past week was another amazing adventure.
I AM NOW OFFICIALLY 21!! Monday passed without too much fanfare - had the usual one class at uni and a lot of study to do.

But Tuesday, being my 21st birthday and all, was of course a cause forcelebration.I met up with Kazuya early on Tuesday and we went to DisneySea together. For those of you who haven't been there, I guess it is really like Disneyland.Lots of fun rides and concerts and a great fireworks display. Really enjoyedthe day, even though I was "forced" t go on a 360 degree loop rollercoasternumerous times!!!!! ahhh!
Watched an amazing Broadway Show, and a fireworks display - an awesome day! Thanks to all my mates who sent emails, and to those family members who posted birthday cards. I have to say a special thankyou to my grandma from Adelaide, as she did some stitchwork - some much needed coasters!!
I got a really beautiful Calvin Klein watch from Kazuya - one of thosethings you don't buy yourself, but wait to get for a special occassion. Healso bought me a birthday cake and we ate that together. I don't thinkanyone has shared a whole b'day cake with me before!!!!!

On Wednesday me and Kazuya headed to Shibuya - full of shops, places to eat and clubs. We walked for about an hour and a half to find an all-you-can-eat lunch place (which WAS noted on our map!!), but we couldn't find it for the life of us, so gave that idea up for Maccas!!! hahahah
Did karaoke for 2 hours until my throat was very very sore!
On Wednesday night Kazuya went back to his hotel (in Gunma) - it is about 4 hours by bus from Tokyo, and because of the cost of the ticket, we won't be able to meet up every week. It's a bit of a shame, but we have been apart for about 7 months since westarted going out!! Amazing really!

Thursday and Friday again went by like a flash - I had 3 exams over the twodays - great to get them over and done with!

On Friday night I went with a friend to the Shinjuku Park Hyatt (where themovie "Lost In Translation" was filmed), to the bar on the 52nd floor -called the "New York Bar" (how appropriate!). Considering the cover charge was $25 and drinks ranged from $12 (glass of beer) to $60 (modest glass of red wne), I only had one drink! I survived the rest of the night on water and rice crackers!!! Great view out across Tokyo as we listened to a live band! Jazz and corny Chrissy songs but nice!

Saturday I spent all day doing Jpanese study...went for a long long walk and explored the backstreets of my area - I stil get lost sometimes!
And yesterday I slept in (much needed) before going out for dinner with aJapanese friend from the Kendo Club I joined. I no longer do Kendo (causeits scary and the uniform costs over $1000!!!), so I jst head along eachSunday for the all you can drink and eat smorgasboard! We stayed out lastnight till 12am, so I missed the last train and had to stay at my Japanesemate's place.
Slept in this morning until I realised that I had to finish my presentationfor Finance!!!!! Rushed home, had a shower, and got back into the dailygrind again!!
Well that's it for another week.

Please take care everyone, and stay in touch.
Only 2 weeks till Christmas!!
Tim
